Jerin Geo James is a highly skilled Computer Vision R&D professional with extensive experience in the field of visual motion estimation and unsupervised learning. He is currently a Senior Engineer (R&D) at Qualcomm, where he is responsible for the research and development of computer vision and rendering algorithms for extended reality. Jerin is a final year PhD student at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay, where he specializes in Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Jerin started his career as a Senior Software Engineer in a multinational corporation, where he developed proof of concept designs and prototypes for a variety of software products for the Architecture-Engineering-and-Construction industry. These included tools for fast and memory-efficient navigation through architectural drawings, measurements, annotations to aid the construction workflows, digital signature, and 3D file handling. Jerin has a B.Tech + M.Tech dual degree from IIT Kharagpur, where he graduated before starting his career. He has also completed his 11th and 12th from St. Antony's Public School. Jerin has a strong passion for technology and has gained in-depth knowledge in various areas of research, including Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Machine Learning. Jerin's technical skills include Computer Vision, Research Scientist, Software Engineer, Android, ML, iOS, and Deep Learning. He has relevant experience of 2.87 years, which includes his work as a Senior Software Engineer and his current role as a Senior Engineer (R&D) at Qualcomm.
